TBB has hit another great milestone. As of April 2023, we have secured more than 500 durable solutions for primary candidates and their families in the UK. This figure takes into account those who have already relocated to the UK, as well as all those who have received a job offer or are going through the immigration process prior to arriving.

What is a durable solution?

TBB considers a durable solution is reached when a refugee or individual from a displaced background has been able to access a mobility pathway and settle in a place where they can enjoy full working and human rights for themselves and their immediate family. In other words, a durable solution can be a skilled worker visa, legal residency status, or other government-backed status that ensures legal protection.

The 500 durable solutions we have secured in the UK represent 500 lives changed through opportunity. These individuals and families have moved through our various UK programs, which include the Displaced Talent Mobility Pilot (DTMP), the Healthcare Pilot Programs, and the Displaced Talent for Europe (DT4E) pilot.

Our TBB alumni have found new homes and are now a part of local communities across the UK, from London and Sheffield, to Doncaster and Aberdeen.

As employers continue to recruit through our programs, alumni cohorts across the country keep growing and the TBB alumni community gets stronger as a result. From Jana who works in the healthcare sector in London, to Rawan who is now a Global Mobility Associate in Belfast, and hundreds of nurses who are now part of the National Health Service (NHS) and other health organizations throughout the UK, these 500 individuals can now resume their professional careers and give their families a safer future.

Skilled candidates who relocate in their search for a better life come from different backgrounds, territories and professional fields. What they all have in common is that they are now living a safer life; leveraging their skills to provide for themselves and their families with dignity.
