The employer, a global leader in malting, boasts a substantial production capacity and operates on 5 continents. They are currently seeking maintenance technicians for mechanical, electrical, and multiskilled (mechanical + electrical) roles in their company in Antwerp or Herent, Belgium. Proficiency in English at an upper-intermediate level is a requirement for this position.

Responsibilities for Electrical Maintenance Technicians:

• Perform corrective and preventive electrical maintenance

• Perform repairs of production and processing equipment as well as utility related equipment

• Support the installation of new equipment

• Ensure all repairs are documented

• Responsible for maintaining a clean, orderly, and neat work area

• Complete all paperwork neatly and correctly

• Participate in BOPEX (continuous improvement) program

Responsibilities for Mechanical Maintenance Technicians:

• Conducting mechanically oriented curative maintenance

• Conducting mechanically oriented preventive maintenance

• Perform repairs on production machines

• Assisting in installing new machines

• Ensure correct documentation of repairs

• Conduct maintenance works taking into account safety and quality standards

Qualifications

• Upper-intermediate communication skills in English, both written and oral

• Awareness of safety requirements

• 1-2 years of electrical or mechanical experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment

• Troubleshooting skills

• Familiarity with a manufacturing environment

• Logical thinking

• Comfortable working at heights

• Able to work in a dusty environment, taking into consideration potential airway problems such as asthma
