Position Description

As a surgical nurse, you will be responsible for providing preoperative and postoperative patient care. You will work alongside a team of nurses, medical doctors, surgeons, and anesthetists to ensure safe and effective medical procedures. Additionally, you should be up-to-date with the latest developments in healthcare best practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide preoperative patient care, which includes preparing patients for surgery and giving preoperative instructions

• Assist the anesthetists and surgeons when needed

• Ensure safe sterilization and accurate incision making

• Intervene when needed

• Administer postoperative medication

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and oral

• Relevant experience as a surgical nurse

• A bachelor’s degree in nursing (or equivalent)
