The primary purpose of this job position is to perform the day to day activities in accordance with current Federal, State and local standards, guidelines, and regulations governing our facility, and as may be directed by the Administrator to assure that the facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner.
Responsibilities:
Assure that work/cleaning schedules are followed as closely as practical.
Ability to complete work with the highest level of department/facility standards.
Report all accidents/incidents to your supervisor promptly.
Coordinate daily environmental services tasks with nursing services.
Ability to work as a team member and be respectful of others.
Attend departmental and staff meetings, in-service classes, and training programs as directed.
Accept and take ownership of all assigned responsibilities.
Perform specific tasks following daily work assignments.
Ensure cleanliness in work areas and perform housekeeping functions as assigned.
Follow safety precautions, infection control practices, and established procedures.
Clean and properly store equipment, report hazardous conditions, and keep supplies stocked.
Exhibit customer service skills, maintain guest confidentiality, and uphold resident rights.
Profile Requirements:
English Level: Intermediate or above (5 IELTS level or above)
Must possess, as a minimum, a 12th grade education.
Must be able to read, write, and speak English clearly and effectively.
Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with various individuals including personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and the general public.
Must be physically capable of moving intermittently throughout the workday, lifting heavy items up to 50 pounds, and using stairs and ladders as needed.
Must be able to make independent decisions, follow instructions, accept criticism, and incorporate new methods and principles into housekeeping practices.
Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position, demonstrate emotional stability, and work effectively with residents and personnel.
Must be in good general health, possess sight/hearing senses or use prosthetics as needed, and maintain the care and use of supplies and equipment while ensuring sanitation, safety, and orderliness in resident rooms/units.
