Am I eligible to register on the Talent Catalog?

TBB Eligibility

You are eligible to register on the Talent Catalog if you meet both of these criteria.

• You are a refugee, a stateless person, or in a situation where you are displaced from your home country and unable to return permanently because you believe that you would face danger or human rights violations there, and,

• You do not currently have another lasting solution to resolve your displacement, such as citizenship in another country where you can access human rights.

Employer and government criteria

TBB does not decide which candidates are selected to move on refugee labour mobility pathways. This is up to employers (who issue the job offer) and governments (who approve visa applications). 

Each destination country TBB works in has different criteria for skilled immigration. This may include qualifications, work experience requirements, health assessments, and language requirements.  

Because of requirements from governments and employers, candidates must be at a minimum functionally proficient in the language of the destination country (e.g. English or French). 

For English-speaking job opportunities, candidates must have at least an IELTS test score of 4.0 overall and in each band or 60-70 in the Duolingo English Test.
