As a vital part of the hospitality team, the Front Desk Clerk is responsible for creating room reservations, providing information and services to guests, and processing payments. This role serves as the first point of contact for guests, ensuring a warm welcome and smooth check-in experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the inventory of vacancies, reservations, and room assignments.

  • Register guests upon arrival and assign rooms.

  • Respond to inquiries regarding guest services and registration through various communication channels, including email, phone, and in person.

  • Provide information about local services and address guest complaints.

  • Compile and verify daily records, guest accounts, receipts, and vouchers using both computerized and manual systems.

  • Present charges to departing guests and process payments.

  • Record sales and conduct transactions for merchandise and snacks.

  • Collaborate with other departments as needed.

  • May take on additional responsibilities, such as switchboard operator, concierge, or night auditor.

Qualifications:

  • Candidates must have a minimum of CLB/NCLC 5 in French and CLB 5 in English.

  • 2-5 years of experience in a bartending role is preferred.

  • Proficient in cash registers, property management software, point-of-sale terminals, credit card processing machines, scheduling software, and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Outlook.

  • Flexibility to meet the demands of the business when needed, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
