A leading grocery retailer committed to providing the freshest, highest-quality produce is seeking a dedicated Produce Clerk to join their team. If you’re a French speaker, passionate about fresh fruits and vegetables and enjoy working in a customer-focused environment, this role is for you!
Responsibilities:
Cut fruits and veggies and prepare delicious food service items like parfaits and stir-fry mixes.
Ensure prompt stocking and rotation of produce, keeping our cooler, back room, and produce hallway
organized and clutter-free.
Provide friendly and professional service, assisting customers and taking accurate orders over the phone.
Conduct quality checks, remove damaged products, and pack orders for delivery.
Maintain a spotless work area by cleaning equipment, sweeping, and mopping as per health and safety
standards.
Keep the production team informed about daily waste and fresh product availability.
Follow safe food handling guidelines and store procedures diligently.
Perform opening tasks like setting up the produce floor and closing duties such as turning off devices and
disposing of garbage.
Ensure an exceptional shopping experience by addressing inquiries and providing assistance.
Be ready to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Qualifications:
Candidates must have a minimum of CLB/NCLC 5 in French and CLB 5 in English.
One year of experience in a similar role.
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience in food preparation, stocking, or customer service is an asset
Friendly and professional demeanor with strong communication skills to assist customers and take phone orders.
Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy produce boxes, and perform repetitive tasks
