We’re thrilled and grateful to share the news that longtime employer partner, Iress (a multinational financial technology company) has this week announced plans to expand their partnership with TBB through their social engagement arm ‘Iress Impact’.

A cherished partnership

As an employer, Iress has been a pioneering force on our journey to open up labour mobility pathways for refugees.

In fact, the very first displaced candidate to move for work through our program - the wonderful Tarek, back in 2019 - was hired by Iress to work as a Software Developer in their Melbourne office.

Since then, Iress has hired and relocated five more skilled refugees and their families - to Australia and the UK - through TBB. In addition to employing multiple candidates, Iress has also provided TBB with significant financial support through various (and often creative!) fundraising activities.

The next chapter

The expanded partnership will involve a charitable financial contribution of AU$750,000 over five years, in addition to pro-bono technical volunteering, and communications and marketing support to promote the benefits of TBB’s skilled migration program in Australia and around the world.

Iress CEO, Andrew Walsh, says: “Iress is a beneficiary, admirer and strong advocate of TBB. We were proud to be the first company to hire a refugee directly through TBB in 2019, and we hope many other organisations increasingly seek involvement with this valuable program”.

“By linking skilled refugees with countries and companies that need their skills, TBB is forging a sustainable solution for refugees and their families to rebuild their lives while boosting the global economy. Iress is excited to be able to provide more reliable and meaningful support to the work and efforts of TBB, which could be life changing for tens of thousands of refugees and their families, and fundamentally change how the world responds to refugee crises.”

Thank you!

Iress has been an incredible partner and advocate from the very beginning, and their generous support has been instrumental in our global success. This latest financial contribution and commitment of additional support will have such a massive impact for TBB and the people we support.

Thank you, Iress!
