Code of Conduct Guidelines

Last revised: February 25, 2025

Introduction

At Talent Beyond Boundaries (TBB), we are committed to supporting skilled refugees in their journey to connect with life-changing opportunities. To ensure a positive and productive experience for everyone involved, we have established this Code of Conduct for candidates. This code outlines the expectations for respectful and professional interactions with our staff, partners, and other candidates. By engaging with TBB, candidates agree to adhere to these guidelines.

    • Be Polite and Professional: All communications with TBB staff, employers, and partners should be conducted in a respectful and professional manner. This includes emails, phone calls, messages, and in-person interactions.

    • Avoid Aggressive Behavior: Aggressive, threatening, or abusive language or behavior will not be tolerated. This includes shouting, insults, or any form of harassment.

Practice Patience: Understand that the recruitment process can take time, and TBB staff are working hard to support a large number of candidates. Patience and understanding are appreciated.

    • Acknowledge Limitations: TBB staff cannot guarantee job placements, visa approvals, or specific timelines. Candidates are encouraged to focus on factors within their control, such as updating their profiles and improving their skills.

    • Avoid Repetitive Inquiries: While we welcome questions, repeated inquiries about the same issue after receiving a response can hinder our ability to assist others. Please refer to our FAQ section or previous communications for answers.

    • Consolidate Inquiries: To ensure efficient communication, candidates must include all their questions or concerns in one email rather than sending multiple, separate, or threaded emails. This helps us address your needs more effectively and promptly.

    • Respect Response Times: TBB aims to respond to inquiries within 2 business days. Candidates are asked to avoid sending multiple follow-up messages before this timeframe has passed.

    • Provide Accurate Information: Candidates must ensure that all information provided in their profiles, CVs, and communications is truthful and accurate. Misrepresentation of skills, experience, or qualifications is not acceptable and can result in their profile being flagged.

    • Respect Confidentiality: Any confidential information shared by TBB, employers, or partners must not be disclosed to third parties without permission.

    • Avoid Overcommunication: While we value staying in touch, excessive or unnecessary communication (e.g., daily emails or messages) can overwhelm our team and delay responses to other candidates. While we try to respond to all candidates, over communicating without being part of an ongoing recruitment process can cause further delays.

    • Respect Working Hours: TBB staff are available during standard business hours. Candidates are asked to avoid contacting staff outside these hours unless it is an emergency. Emails sent after working hours or on weekends will be considered received on the next business day. Responses will be provided within a maximum of 7 working days from the time the email is officially received.

    • No Personal Requests: TBB staff are here to support your professional journey. Personal requests, such as financial assistance or non-work-related favors, are outside the scope of our services.

    • Take Ownership: Candidates are encouraged to take an active role in their job search by updating their profiles, improving their skills, and utilizing the resources provided by TBB.

    • Provide Constructive Feedback: We welcome and value your feedback as it helps us improve our services and better support you. However, we ask that all feedback be shared respectfully and constructively.  If you have concerns or criticisms, please present them in a way that fosters open dialogue and mutual understanding. Accusations of discrimination or other serious allegations should not be made without clear evidence or proof, as this can undermine the trust and collaboration we strive to build. We operate with integrity and good intentions, and we ask that you approach us with the same respect and fairness.

Please note that offensive, aggressive, or disrespectful communication will not be tolerated as it is counterproductive and does not align with our shared goal of finding solutions. Logically, if you believe we are not meeting your expectations, approaching us with respect and constructive feedback is far more likely to result in a positive outcome than hostility.

    • Warning System: If a candidate violates this Code of Conduct, they will receive a warning and an explanation of the issue. Repeated violations may result in restricted access to TBB services.

Immediate Action: In cases of severe misconduct, such as harassment or threats, TBB reserves the right to take immediate action, including terminating the candidate’s collaboration with our programs.

    • Empathy and Support: We understand the challenges you face and are here to support you with empathy and respect.

    • Fair Treatment: All candidates will be treated fairly and without discrimination.

Confidentiality: Your personal information will be handled with care and in accordance with our privacy policy.

By adhering to this Code of Conduct, candidates contribute to a positive and productive environment for everyone involved. We thank you for your cooperation and wish you the best in your journey toward a brighter future.
