Are you a skilled plumber seeking a rewarding opportunity in Canada to showcase your expertise? Several employers in Canada are seeking dedicated plumbers to work across the country.
Responsibilities:
Load and unload construction materials
Move materials to work areas
Erect and dismantle forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades
Mix, pour, and spread concrete and asphalt
Assist carpenters, bricklayers, cement finishers, roofers, and glaziers
Aid heavy equipment operators with attachments and guidance
Align pipes during pipeline construction
Assist in drilling and blasting rock
Aid miners in excavation and drill operation
Level earth using a rake and shovel
Assist in demolishing buildings and sort salvaged materials
Remove rubble and debris using tools and equipment
Operate pneumatic hammers, vibrators, and tampers
Tend to machines like mixers, compressors, and pumps
Clean up chemical spills and hazardous materials
Oil and grease hoists and equipment
Direct traffic at construction sites
Perform other directed activities at construction sites
Qualifications
Intermediate communication skills in English, both written and oral
Some experience as a general construction laborer may be required for construction trade helpers.
Some pipeline workers, such as stabbers, mandrel operators, and pre-heater tenders, usually require one season of experience in oil and gas pipeline construction.
