The employer is a leading research hub focused on nano- and digital technology innovation for improving quality of life, particularly in the semiconductor industry. This role involves managing electron microscopy inspections to characterize semiconductor processes and materials. Key duties include ensuring high-quality service, managing service requests, evaluating customer documentation, coaching team members, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in a high-tech cleanroom environment to support advanced semiconductor production processes.

Responsibilities:

  • You are a technical expert in TEM inspections and up-to date on the current limitations and possibilities of the tools with a focus on semi-conductor materials.

  • You follow-up the different service queues in collaboration with specialists, assistants, operations managers.

  • You are co-owner in achieving the different targets set within the department

  • You are responsible for high quality and efficient first-time request intake.

  • You are the point of contact for the evaluation of the documented request (from the customer).

  • You execute SEM/TEM requests.

  • You detect potential efficiency and quality issues and take the appropriate action.

  • You coach and train operators within the SEMTEM team.

Qualifications:

  • Fluent knowledge of English, with good communication skills.

  • Master’s degree or PhD in a relevant field.

  • Experience in microscopy and/or process engineering.

  • Background in materials science is advantageous.

  • Experience in microchip technology is a plus.

  • Strong planning and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

  • Assertive and capable of working well in a team

  • Willingness to work in an alternating shift schedule (1 week early, 1 week night, 1 week late) and 1 out of 4 weekends
