The happy team at Princes Court Homes, Mildura, Australia.

Congratulations to Princes Court Homes for winning the Leading Age Services Australia (LASA) 2020 Excellence In Age Services Organisation Award for their partnership with Talent Beyond Boundaries to recruit physiotherapists, demonstrating exceptional talent, innovation and compassion in the care of older Australians.

Princes Court Homes is an Australian not-for-profit, community-owned organisation that cares for 100 residents and around 76 retirees in their independent lifestyle unit in Mildura, North West Victoria. In partnership with Talent Beyond Boundaries, Princes Court Homes has recruited two highly skilled physiotherapists, who have been living as refugees in Lebanon.

Recently Princes Court Homes was honoured by the Leading Age Services Australia with an Excellence in Age Services Award for this innovative approach to sourcing talent.

And Princes Court Homes could not be happier. Having on-site physiotherapists will enhance the Princes Court residents’ quality of life. At the same time, for the two physiotherapists this opportunity to travel to Australia to rebuild their lives after years of living displaced is priceless.

Princes Court Homes is dedicated to improving the lives of residents and this is also reflected in its focus on refurbishments and new building design, and in the appointment of a Community Liaison Officer to explore innovative programs through schools and community groups. Engaging programs include the Mallee’s Living Histories project, which resulted in a published book about residents’ lives, and a partnership with the Mildura English Language Centre, where 11 to 14 year old refugee children visit the centre to practice their English.

Talent Beyond Boundaries is proud to work with dedicated regional community services and employers like Princes Court Homes to provide life changing opportunities for displaced professionals.
