What are mock interviews?
Many of our refugee candidates have limited experience with formal job interviews. This is where you come in!
TBB connects candidates with volunteer mock interviewers to help them practice their interview skills and techniques, prior to real job interviews with potential employers.
Mock interviews give candidates the best chance of success in securing employment. We’re looking for skilled people from a variety of sectors to help with this process.
The process
Fill out the form below. Once approved, you will be added to TBB’s Slack workspace where we share mock interview requests. No worries if you haven’t used Slack before, we’ll break it down for you.
After signing up for a mock interview on Slack, you will be expected to conduct a 30-minute interview with your assigned candidate and provide 15 minutes of feedback. Adding a few more minutes of coordination and preparation, each mock interview should take about 1 hour of your time. (We provide plenty of resources to help you prepare.)
You are expected to provide constructive feedback on what the candidate did well and what they need to improve on, as the candidates really value their time with you and want to know how they can do better, so your support is invaluable
