The Programme Manager – People/Livelihoods is a key role responsible for co-developing and managing grants in the People pillar, with a focus on refugee-livelihood initiatives. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in livelihoods within refugee contexts and a strong commitment to sustainability and social impact. This role involves building partnerships, driving learning initiatives, and contributing to the shared mission of creating positive change.

Responsibilities:

  • Co-develop and manage grants in the People pillar of the organization, focusing on refugee-livelihood initiatives.

  • Operationalize program strategies into impactful funding partnerships that align with the mission and vision of the organization.

  • Lead grant-making and grant management processes for existing and new grants in coordination with partners and relevant departments.

  • Collaborate with specialist functions to gather insights for informed decision-making and maximize grant impact.

  • Support grantees in monitoring and tracking project impact and facilitate learning opportunities.

  • Participate in program/portfolio strategy reviews and external affinity groups to represent the organization.

  • Stay updated on field developments and share knowledge with stakeholders.

  • Identify synergies between portfolios and partnerships to drive collaboration.

  • Promote evidence and learning from programs with partners and stakeholders.

Profile Requirements:

  • English Level: Upper Intermediate or above (7 IELTS level or above)

  • Advanced degree in a field relevant to the company’s People pillar program areas.

  • 10+ years of experience in livelihoods in refugee and displacement contexts, with an affinity for agriculture, renewable energy, or green entrepreneurship.

  • Experience in partnership development in the development-humanitarian nexus is advantageous.

  • Project management experience and understanding of the philanthropic sector.

  • Strong relationship-building skills with external partners and stakeholders.

  • Ability to analyze information, identify patterns, and make informed decisions.

  • Collaborative team player with excellent communication skills.

  • Motivated by the organization values, committed to improving lives, and a natural network builder.
