The Sawmills Division at this company is looking to fill general Sawmill Operator jobs with reliable, hard-working individuals with a positive attitude to work as part of a team. This is a full-time entry-level general labor job in a Sawmill that does not require any previous experience. The job is responsible for supporting production in multiple mill areas, rotating through trained positions.
Responsibilities
Saw timber logs into rough lumber
Operate saws, trim, and plane rough lumber to produce dressed lumber of various sizes.
Operating and maintaining sawmill equipment
Inspecting lumber for quality
Ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the sawmill
Keeping records of production
Performing routine maintenance on equipment
Adhering to safety regulations
Qualifications
Intermediate communication skills in English, both written and oral
1 year of experience in a sawmill or a related field.
Able to lift, pull and pile materials
Cares about quality of work
Can work well on a team
Follows safety standards
Quick learner
